How We Bring Your Story To Life

Step one: We plan it!

We'll have a pre-shoot consultation to plan your dream photo session.

After you've secured your session date in my calendar, you will receive a detailed questionnaire so I can learn all about you and your family. We will have a phone meeting to determine further details like selecting the perfect location, tips and tricks to make your experience enjoyable and ultimately bringing your dream photography session to life! You will also receive a Style Guide and access to my curated Pinterest Board to help select the perfect wardrobe.

Step two: We shoot & have fun!

Yep, taking photos should be FUN. And, your shoot day will be!

This is the fun part! After the planning session, you'll feel confident that all the details are in place so you can just show up and let me take care of the rest. This is not a 'smile and stare at the camera' shoot... be prepared to dance, play, snuggle, laugh and enjoy the experience! We will spend a good 1 - 1.5 hours together capturing all the feels. Extended family sessions are 2 hours in length.

Step three: The reveal!

Grab your favourite beverage and get ready to view your images.

Within 2-3 weeks of your photoshoot, you’ll receive a link to your custom 'first look slideshow' that showcases all your beautiful storytelling images from your session. You will then decide which collection you'd like to purchase. Each collection comes with a set of high resolution digital images available for immediate download, and an artwork credit to use in the gallery store. Lab quality prints and heirloom products are available and shipped directly to you.

When you choose Portraits by Kendra as your photographer, you're not only hiring a photographer with 13 years of professional experience, you're also hiring a photographer who sees and feels the moments through the lens of a mother.

My children and family are my world, and I know first hand how fleeting this precious time is. I am just as invested in capturing these memories of your family that you will look back on and hold near and dear to your heart.

Lifestyle sessions are laid back and have a more relaxed approach. I create a fun, entertaining and comfortable experience for children and encourage their personalities to shine bright while capturing them in the moment.
