I featured the family shown in the photos below on my Instagram in April. They’re a perfect example that an extended family session doesn’t need to be outdoor. It can be wherever you feel the most comfortable and at ease.

Joyful Moments at Home

During this session, I had the best time capturing the kids jumping on the bed, making cookies with Grandma, and snuggling with Mom and Dad. It was all about capturing their love, in the moment, being exactly who they are. It was a true pleasure to witness the warmth and love of this family in the heart of their home. I was honoured to be a part of it and to share with you a few of the genuine, authentic, storytelling photos that they’ll cherish for years to come.

Fun Outings and Adventures

There are lots of great outdoor spaces in Kitchener-Waterloo and the surrounding area that are perfect for bringing the entire family together. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself dancing in a field, playing hide-and-seek, or watching the kids play a round of ‘Ring Around the Rosie’ or skip rocks across the water. And don’t forget to bring your family pet; after all, they’re part of the family too.

Customized Experience

Wherever you choose to get the entire family together, I can guarantee it will be fun with lots of smiles, giggles, and maybe even some bubbles and sparkles thrown in. My Lifestyle sessions are completely customized to bring your dream photoshoot to life.

The Process: Making Memories

Step One: Pre-Shoot Consultation

Once you’ve secured your session date in my calendar, you’ll receive a pretty detailed questionnaire to help me learn about your family, your vision for the photoshoot, and the story you want to tell.

Step Two: We shoot and have fun!

Yay, your day has arrived! Like I said earlier, this is not a ‘smile and stare at the camera’ shoot. There’s none of that traditional portrait photography happening on this day.

Step 3: The reveal

This is the exciting part, getting to view your custom ‘first look slideshow’ that showcases your beautiful story. Whatever collection you decide to purchase, it comes with a set of high-resolution digital images available for immediate download plus an artwork credit to use in the gallery store. I’ll be chatting more about the gallery store in an upcoming blog.
